India travelling to Germany

September 2015 saw 8 Agents from India travelling to Germany to explore the country which was hosted by German National Tourist Organization (www.germany.travel). Arrival in Frankfurt was pretty early and we waited for Mumbai guys to arrive. After clearing immigration and customs we stepped out of the cocoon of Airport and were welcomed by chilly fresh air. It was a welcome change from India’s humid air. From tourists perspective the best time to travel is in summers – May – September and off course if you want to enjoy white Xmas then the best time is December with an attraction of Christmas Market.
We all hopped on a 10 seater coach which was very comfortable. It does help in going around but off course its damn expensive. If you don’t mind your pockets to get a small hole but prefer comfort, then you cannot beat it. Off course if you are 10 odd members then you can share the cost.
We also recommend self-drive which are cost effective and a great way to experience superior and organized infrastructure of Germany. You need to be confident to drive in Europe though you can become one in a days’ time. The Auto bahns, Highways, Cars, Scenery, Food are there to spoil you. Just make sure you are not doings rounds of Beer Tasting in your self-driving holidays.
Germany boasts of a amazing network of High Speed Trains, Intercity Trains, Regional Trains and other trains to facilitate your travel around Germany. German Travel pass by Eurail is best bet if you really want to travel extensively. If you have limited travel then best way is to buy sector tickets. Trains cover entire Germany, so worry what ever part of country you are visiting , trains help.
Munich is a typical city of Central Europe. Has a character of its own and dotted with history. City is clean and is easy to understand. City boasts of its own public transportation system with Trams, U Bahn and S Bahn. City also is fond of cyclists and has dedicated lane for cycling. City is full of cobbled stone streets and historical buildings. City centre is very charming with autumn flowers at all places.
